A fine carved 18th century English pine and limewood chimneypiece. The breakfront shelf above a cornice carved with a continuous dental and foliate motif. The frieze with a finely carved centre tablet depicting a rural scene and flanked by delicate bell flower swags, paterae and elongated foliate capitals. The tapering jambs carved with bell flowers, and lidded urns with floral swags. Circa 1780. Restored.
