A fantastic Japanese late 19th Century wood Netsuke in the form of a Tiger.
Full of character, this late 19th Century carved-wood Netsuke in the form of a Tiger bears the signature (in a tablet to the underside) of Masatomo.
The beast sits on its hind legs with its tail raised over it’s back. It is looking forward with this jaws open. Eyes are inlaid bone.
