An extremely fine pierced boxwood roundel. The roundel centred with the virgin & child amongst miniature busts of the twelve apostles & framed by the tree of Jesse. Backed in original blue paper, the case is 19th century. Mount Athos, late 17th - early 18th century. Measures 7.3cm in diameter.
