An exceptionally rare Medieval oak and iron-bound casket, English, circa 1350-1450.

The domed-lid formed from one piece cut-out and topped with an oval bale handle, original iron mounts throughout, with twin lock.

Provenance: Reputedly a Scottish castle or baronial mansion.
