This is an exceptional, large, and rare silver box by Sibyl Dunlop, one of Britain’s leading inter-war arts and crafts jewellers and silversmiths. It is beautifully set to four sides with orangey grey translucent agates, matched with an agate to the lid’s centre set in raised applied silverwork. It is in perfect condition and of a good gauge of silver. I have been unable to put it down since acquiring it. It is a really special museum standard piece. Fully hallmarked for 1925.
