An Exceptional Imari Lamp.
Japanese, circa 1700.
An exceptional late 17th century, early 18th century Japanese Imari vase, decorated in the typical Imari palette of dark blues and iron reds on a white background with gilded highlights. The vase profusely decorated with floral and foliate design with large paper scroll panels and windows showing stylised landscape with garden and lakeside views. Now mounted as a a lamp with hand gilded turned base.
Height: 17 1/4 in ( 44 cm) including giltwood base, excluding electrical fitment and lampshade.
All of our lamps can be wired for use worldwide. A selection of card, linen or silk lampshades can be supplied on request.
