This is one of a series of dishes taken from an original lead-glazed model of a dish of Palissy type from France circa 1600.
They were produced in London from the 1630’s and throughout the 17th Century.
Condition – Broken in half and restuck,extended crack stabilised, some flaking restored.
The restoration remains visible on the reverse.
