Edwardian Silver Stamp Roll Dispenser.
An extremely rare Edwardian novelty silver Stamp Box made in the form of a Whistle, the hinged cover opening to reveal a divided silver gilt interior with two spindles to accept a coils of stamps dispensed through the mouth-piece.
The makers marks rubbed, but almost certainly by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd, London, 1905.
Also stamped with a Registered Design Number: 449699.
