A classic Edwardian row of graduated cultured (Akoya) pearls.
The necklace is strung with a pretty Edwardian diamond set clasp in a tonneau design, typical of the era. The clasp has a hook style catch which is hidden when closed, this also acts as a safety device.
The pearls are a pinkish white in colour and have a wonderful lustre.
