Edwardian Diamond and Enamel Pansy Brooch / Pendant circa 1910.
A beautiful Edwardian enamel Pansy brooch set with an old cut diamond to the centre.
The brooch has a loop attachment to the reverse allowing it to also be worn as a pendant. In the meaning of flowers the pansy symbolises "think of me" from the French word pensee and represents a display of love from one person to another. The pin has a with safety clasp to the reverse.
The brooch is American in origin and the enamel is in excellent condition.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920.
Measurements: Brooch 2.6cm in length, 2.5cm at widest point, 6 grams in weight.
Hallmarks: Stamped 14k, American makers mark Y.
