Edwardian Aquamarine and Diamond Butterfly Pendant circa 1905.
A pretty Edwardian butterfly pendant.
The pendant is set with old cut aquamarines and rose cut diamonds to the wings.
The butterfly is set within a double bordered circle in a typically Edwardian design. The pendant is fully articulated and has lovely movement. There is a runner ring to the top for a chain or ribbon.

The butterfly was a popular motif in fashion and jewellery in the late 19th and early 20th Century. Long associated with the soul and metamorphosis butterfiles were seen as elegant additions to any jewellery collection.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920.
Measurements: Pendant length 4.5cm, 1.5cm at widest point.
Hallmarks: Stamped 9ct, maker marks WBS (William B Smith.
