For sale is this classic pair of James Dixon & Sons arts and crafts silver candlesticks.  The design is attributable to the leading Dutch Amsterdam design school of the period  from circa 1902 and copied by the Sheffield firm of James Dixon.  These candlesticks are from 1903 and 1904 and represent the earliest years of production I have seen.  They are in excellent condition with clear marks and well defined faux rivets and removable sconces with matching hallmarks.  Both sconces carry the same stamp mark Y164 and are a true pair despite the one year date difference.

I also have an identical pair marked for the retailer James Barraclough, 1910 at £2,650.
