Early Fine Isfahan Rug.

Isfahan, the ancient capital of Persia, was the creative hub of amazing Persian art and textiles during the 17th century Safavid period and Isfahan rugs lay claim to this proud tradition.  Many of the court quality carpets that survive today are attributed to Isfahan.

A charming 19th-century Isfahan rug with a creative balanced colour combination and clear crisp drawing due to its remarkable tight weave. All the colours are vegetable dyed which have aged nicely.

A timeless classic that would blend beautifully in a wide variety of settings.
