A Chinese hong-mu (blackwood) “step shelf“ display stand of rectangular form, the sides open work, the centre of each frieze in the form of a rui head, each surrounded by a scroll. The tubular legs each with a knee and joined above the splayed foot with hump back cross stretchers.
