A Chinese Export Silver Tea Caddy of shaped oval form, with applied prunus and chrysanthemum decoration and a plain, pull-off lid. The retailer is shown as W.O.Co. Ltd for the Wing On Company, 永安, circa 1900. The firm had a large store in Hong Kong throughout the first half of the twentieth century, and from 1918 had premises in Shanghai also. The silversmith's mark is ”泰昌隆“ (TaiChangLong).
