Pinto writes: ‘Standing fruit bowls or tazzas, simplified versions of Greek and Roman models, are popular examples of turnery…’( ‘Treen and other wooden bygones’ p. 70).
Levi illustrates a similar example in 'Treen for the Table', p. 183 pl. 15/17 (see image below).
