Finest quality bronze figure of a coiled mythical sea creature or dog-headed hippocampus supporting a finely detailed scallop shell which opens to reveal two original lidded pots for burning incense, and two taper-stick holders. Raised on a square bronze base with finely chased moulded edge and square yellow-gold marble socle.
This ultimate desk accessory would provide the finishing touch to the grandest of workspaces. The craftmanship is of the highest standard and the crisp detailing as good as I have seen.
Base is 9.4cms square.
