Sailor's Woolwork
British Sailor's Woolwork Woolie on Unusual Sea
1875
Textile
A really attractive and exciting sailor's woolwork depicting a portside view of a square- rigged clipper ship flying the red ensign coming into land, which is visible on the left, on a very rough sea which is unusually depicted with a series of large white caps on a light blue sea. A two-masted brigantine can be seen in the distance to the right.
