THIS BEAUTIFUL CARVED AND POLYCHROMED CASKET WAS MOST PROBABLY GIVEN S A LOVE GIFT, THE DOMED TOP CARVED WITH TWO LOVE KNOTS.

ORIGINAL HINGES, HASP, LOCKPLATE AND HANDLE REMAIN. IT ALSO RETAINS THE MAJORITY OF ITS ORIGINAL POLYCHROME DECORATION.
