19th Century Childs Windsor Armchair.

A Very Attractive Mid 19th Century Childs Size Windsor Armchair Having Attractive Hooped Stick Back Over Well Figured Seat Raised On Elegant Turned Legs And H Stretcher.

Childrens, or Childs Chairs as the name suggests were made throughout the 18th and 19th centuries and beyond, often as scale models of their full size counterparts for the children of the family to use in all manner of settings and circumstances.

They therefore come of course in a wide variety of scales, shapes and sizes dependent mainly on the age of the children in the family which they were initially commissioned for, combined with the style of the existing furniture within that home.

This particular chair has been well used and particulalry well loved throughout its life, and who knows what stars of the future may have used this chair during their younger years!

A great present to the family, or even a treat to yourself for the grandkids to sit in when they visit its difficult to find anything to dislike about this incredibly charming chair which is as fit for purpose as the day it was made.

As with all objects we offer for sale this childs chair has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure that it is in the very best condition possible before being offered for sale.
