Arts and Crafts Peacock Brooch Attributed to William Thomas Blackband.

Silver Enamel.

W  3.70 cm (1.46 in)  |  L  2.20 cm (0.87 in).

Origin: British, circa 1910.

Case: Fitted Case.

Condition: Very good.

Weight: 11.00 Grams.

This little Peacock brooch is probably a protective amulet against the Evil Eye, a Nazar. The whimsical enamel Peacock is surrounded by Celtic silver whorls typical of W.T.Blackband.
