Art Nouveau Gold Fob Pin - Murrle Bennett circa 1890.
A quirky late Victorian gold brooch by Murrle Bennett.
The pin is a wonderful fluid Art Nouveau design with a continual gold wrapped pin suspending an Albert swivel clasp. The Albert clasp is perfect to attach a small charm or fob giving endless oportunities to this lovely antique piece.
Murrle Bennett & Co was established in 1896 in London by Ernst Murrle & J.B Bennett. They specialised in high quality affordable silver & gold jewellery and produced jewellery predominantly in the Art Nouveau style.
Their designs were often characterized by abstract motifs typical of Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts movements. Many of their items were made for and sold by Liberty & Co in London.
Era: Art Nouveau, 1890 - 1910.
