Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring circa 1930.
An unusual Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring.
This beautiful ring has an oval sapphire to the centre within a border of small diamonds forming a cluster. This central cluster is mounted within an outer diamond set stylised swag border.
The diamonds are all finely milgrain set with an openwork geometric underbezel. The ring has diamond set shoulders onto a plain platinum shank and is very low set to the hand.
This ring would have been designed to be worn originally as a cocktail ring. The sapphire is a beautiful colour - probably Sri Lankan in origin.
Era: Art Deco, circa 1925 - 1940.
Measurements: Central Sapphire estimated 0.65 carats.
Total diamond weight estimated 1.90 carats.
Head of ring 15 mm in length, 15mm wide.
