A fabulous 2 row necklace of cultured (Akoya) pearls set with an Art Deco sapphire & diamond cluster clasp.
The clasp is beautifully made with 5 old cut diamonds to the centre within an openwork border of rose cut diamonds and calibre sapphires.
The gemstones are finely mounted in a platinum rubover border. The clasp is open to the reverse allowing light into the stones. It has a tongue style catch with a good firm snap to close it and there is a figure of 8 safety catch to one side.
The pearls are a large size and beautifully matched, they are ivory in colour with a good lustre.
This wonderful necklace has been restrung with the clasp at the side so it can be seen (and admired) when worn.
