Art Deco Pearl Necklace Diamond Clasp circa 1930.
A classic Art Deco pearl necklace with a diamond clasp.
The row of cultured (Akoya) pearls is strung with a diamond set lozenge shaped clasp. The clasp is mounted with rose cut diamonds in an openwork design. The clasp has a hook style tongue which also acts as a safety device.
The reverse of the clasp also has an open design that mirrors the front.
The pearls are whitish pink in colour with a good lustre.
Era: Art Deco, circa 1920 - 1940.
Measurements: Necklace 47cm (18.5 inches) including clasp.
Clasp 1.6cm in length, 7mm at widest point.
Pearls 6-6.5mm diameter, pinkish white colour, good lustre.
Hallmarks: Clasp stamped 9CT.
