An elegant row of graduated jade beads with a gold barrel clasp fitting. Jade untested - no apparent artificial colour enhancement.
Jade was a popular choice for Art Deco jewellery following Cartier's extensive use of the stone in the early 1920's. The gemstone is revered in Chinese society where Confucius praised jade as a symbol of righteousness and knowledge. In Chinese culture Jade is customarily thought to influence health and prosperity, and ward off negative energy.
