Art Deco Diamond Drop Earrings circa 1930.
An elegant pair of Art Deco diamond earrings.
These stylish earrings have 3 old cut diamonds connected by fine 'knife edge' bars.
Each of the diamonds is mounted in a rub-over setting with a milgrain edge. The setting is open to the reverse and each diamond section is individually articulated so that the earrings have beautiful movement when worn. The lower diamond has an outer border of platinum making it appear larger than it is.
The 'knife-edge' setting was popular through the Edwardian and Art Deco eras and gives the impression that the diamonds are floating in space as the fronts of the setting are overlaid with platinum.
The earrings are suspended from a long hook typical of the era - they are perfectly wearable for any occasion.
Era: Art Deco, circa 1925 - 1940.
Measurements: Total diamond weight estimated 0.90 carats (pair).
H colour VS clarity.
Earrings 2 cm in length from top of hook.
Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests platinum.
