For sale is this fantastic silver purse for Liberty & Co, Birmingham, 1904.  The design undoubtedly by Archibald Knox with enamelled Celtic knot motif to the front of the purse in stunning purple, green and yellow original champleve enamel.  One of the best coloured enamels by Liberty I have seen.
This purse will appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming third edition of his book “Archibald Knox”.
Condition is excellent with slightly rubbed but legible marks. The opening clasp is still tight, indeed stiff.  The enamel is original and essentially perfect.  The interior leather and stitching is original and complete. The purse comes in what appears to be an original Liberty (unmarked) box in very poor condition.
