A very fine quality Georgian silver soup ladle made in London in 1790 by George Smith and William Fearn .The ladle is in the old English thread pattern and has a round bowl and still retains its original family crest of a Talbot hound on a mural coronet.It is unusually heavy at over seven troy ounces and in good condition.The crest of a Talbot hound out of a mural coronet is used by the Martin family and others.
