A fine Antique Silver George III Mug made in London in 1779 by Hester Bateman. This lovely mug made by the celebrated workshop of the lady silversmith Hester Bateman is in good condition and will hold approximately 425 ml ( .75 UK pint). 1779 was the year Captain Cook was killed in Hawaii. It is plain and unengraved with a cast scroll handle.
