'North West' refers to a myriad group of villages with weaving styles borrowed from a range of influences from different regions which were combined to form unmistakably unique pieces. These rugs also bore tribal interpretations of sophisticated workshop weavings.

This attractive North West Persian rug has a less common overall pattern which is pleasantly balanced in relation to its format. The earthy undyed colours of  muted grey-brown has natural tonal variation (abrash) providing great depth and richness to the range of vegetable dyed colours, framed by several borders.

A timeless tribal piece with a quiet formality and would be a great addition to a contemporary or classic setting.
