Antique Heriz Runner.
3.00 x 1.15 m.
Antique Heriz carpets are widely appreciated for the tribal individuality of their design and highly artistic patterns. The use of high-quality wool and creative, vegetable-dyed colours creates these wonderfully versatile pieces.
This charming Heriz runner, dating to the early 1900s, has a simpler drawing in comparison to other pieces of its type, framed by four individual borders. The vegetable-dyed colour composition of muted terracotta-red, sky-blue, greens and ivory is exquisite and the variety of colours have aged nicely.
This Heriz runner is in very good practical condition for everyday use, still retaining its fringes and its original four borders on all sides.
The bold graphic drawing of early Heriz carpets blend in with both modern and classic spaces.
