Antique English George II Sterling Silver Rococo Kettle on Stand.

An antique English silver George II kettle with original stand and lamp, chased and embossed in the Rococo style. The lid has a flush hinge and the kettle has a wicker-weave handle.

The makers, Thomas Cooke and Richard Gurney, were well known goldsmith's whose firm were operating in Foster Lane, London between 1721 and 1773. This kettle made in 1753 is an outstanding example of their work.

Measures: Height to top of handle 40cm.
