A Delightful Late 18th Century Georgian Chinoiserie
Painted And Decorated Tea Caddy Having Domed Lift
Up Top Retaining Original Brass Axe Drop Handle
(Dating to the 18th century this tea caddy has certainly seen
some life. Although the condition could be described perhaps
as weathered, it has a certain charm to it in terms of the fact
that nobody has ever restored it to make it look shiny and new.
The decoration itself is of excellent quality and although there is
no working key for the lock, which explains why at some point
somebody has removed the plate on the lid that receives the lock, it
really is an exceptionally charming piece of late 18th century history.)
