A rare late 19th / early 20th century American silver plate Match Safe of long rounded rectangular form with sprung hinged lid, the face decorated with the King of Hearts and with two moveable metal scoring dials numbered one to twelve. The reverse with a central diamond motif and the card suits on stalks.
