For an extremely similar example sold with an attribution to Angelo Antonio Amastini (1754-1816) or Nicolo Amastini (1780-1851); see lot 59, Small Wonders: Early Gems and Jewels, Sotheby’s, 9th July 2020.

Another can be found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Accession Number: 40.20.31.

The cameo also shows strong similarities with the work of Luigi Michelini (1830-1855).
