26th Prince of Wales’s Own Light Cavalry, Indian Army, Brooch.

Circa 1906-10.

32mm x 23mm.

Yellow gold crossed lances with red and white enamelled pennons overlaid with the Prince of Wales’s feathers in white and yellow gold and enamel over the regimental number 26 in white gold set with diamonds. 

26th POW Light Cavalry was amalgamated with 30th Lancers (Gordon’s Horse) in 1922. In 1947 it remained with the Indian Army to become 8th Light Cavalry in 1950.
