A rare pair of very large 19th century Scottish cast iron revolving plant tables, most likely made by W. MacFarlane & Co Ltd for a conservatory, orangery or palm house. These finely cast tables with segmented pierced panel tops, railed sides and filigree under edging, are supported by open scrolled brackets and a substantial socle. Circa 1880. Restored.
W. MacFarlance & Co Ltd was founded in 1850 and become the most eminent manufacturer of ornamental ironwork in Scotland.
