An Attractive And Very Good Quality Mid 19th Century
Mahogany Miniature Table Having Well Figured Circular
Tilting Top Raised On Elegant Turned Column Terminating
On Tripod Legs
(Almost certainly made as a travelling salesman's sample piece
of furniture which would have been used to display to potential
customers what could be produced on a larger scale back at the
workshops and take orders from this is in excellent condition
and very well made. It bears the stamp of a " B. Sheperd" whom
unfortunately there appears to be little reference to in historical
publications. Just about tall enough to be used alongside a chair
this beautiful and collectible piece still has a practical and functional
purpose in and around the modern day home.)
