Impressive 19th Century brass and steel hooded antique fireplace dog grate in the Renaissance manner.

English Circa 1880.

Having an ornately decorated embossed domed hood supported by pair of monopodia front legs of brass wolfhounds holding rings in their mouths finishing on splayed paw feet.

Of substantial size this decorative fire grate is in excellent condition having the brass work gently hand polished retaining a good colour and patination.

Height without removable flue 82cm.
