A LOVELY LATE 15TH CENTURY NORTHERN FRENCH IRON MISSAL BOX. CIRCA 1480.
THIS PRETTY IRON MISSAL BOX WAS USED TO CARRY THE BOOK CONTAINING ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS AND TEXTS FOR THE CELEBRATION OF MASS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE FRONT LEFT FOOT OF THE BOX IS ON A SPRING WHICH RELEASES THE LOCK TO THE LEFT HASP. A VCERY PRETTY LATE MEDIEVAL IRON MISSAL BOX. CIRCA 1480.
