12 Victorian silver table knives and 12 Victorian silver dessert knives made in 1870 by George Adams of London (Table knives) Martin Hall and Co Sheffield (Dessert knives).The table knives by George Adams bear the crest of Samuel Leo Schuster (Im Gott Allein -In God alone)who married the Earl of Orkneys daughter and the dessert knives bear the crest of a mountain cat guardant passant which is for Pennington (Earls of Muncaster)They have all been rebladed to stainless steel in the 20th century and are in excellent condition which is normally not the case with 150 year old knives.A lovely set which would go nicely with any bead or plain canteen of cutlery.As with the great majority of nineteenth century knives hand wash only.
