“Bowtops”
David Thomas Robertson (1879 - 1952) was born in Darlington and worked mostly in the North East of England.
He exhibited widely including at the Royal Scottish Academy the Berwick Cub, the Laing and other Public and Private galleries.
The present painting on canvas measures 18"x 24" and shows a group of Gypsies travelling between camps.
It is signed lower left and is framed in a good gilt frame giving an overall size of 23"x 30".
