A lovely example of a small Liberty Cymric gold and mother of pearl brooch by Archibald Knox. This brooch (with amethyst) appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book, “Archibald Knox”,  page 266.

The brooch is in excellent original condition, with just some bending to the pin.  The reverse carries an inscription dated 1908 (see images), I believe the brooch probably dates to c 1902.

It is unmarked as is often the case with Liberty gold jewellery.  The gold is untested but I think is probably 15 carat gold or better.
