A rare pair of hand raised and hammered Sterling Silver Candlesticks made in 1931 by Lionel Crichton in mid seventeenth century style. These are silver copies of rare brass and pewter candlesticks of the Cromwellian period circa 1650 specially commissioned and made. They are lovely quality and are all silver (No loading) and made by one of the most famous makers of the early to mid 20th century who specialised in taking museum specimens and making handmade copies. They are engraved with the original owners lion crest. Crichton Brothers were one of the few English silversmiths to have a thriving business in the United States.
