A fine pair of Regency period rosewood open bookcases. The bookcase's well figured top above a pair of columns which have crisply carved composite capitals and terminate in a plinth base and flank fully adjustable bookshelves; standing on a plinth base.
The Regency bookcases retain an excellent colour and patination and are veneered in carefully selected rosewood. The bookcases' proportions are quite masculine with the generous plinth and cornice and the capitals are beautifully carved.
