The basket is of shaped oval outline with applied and cast border of wheat-sheaves, acanthus leaves, fruiting vine tendrils and basket of fruit to each end, the flared sides pierced with scroll-work and anthemion motifs.
The handle issues from leaf motifs and is applied with a scroll-edged vacant cartouche.
