Rare, set of 4, vintage, bronzed, recumbent lion, table lamps with original tortoiseshell effect shades, 24” high.
Rare to find a set of four, vintage, bronzed lamps.
These lamps are in the classical taste with the lions recumbent on pedestals decorated with fretwork, shell and acanthus motifs.
The bronze surface is very convincing.
It is unusual to find lamps with their original shades.
Acquired by a collector as two pairs and be split into two pairs and sold separately.
Juxtapose with period interiors and blend into modern and contemporary schemes.
The electrical fittings are replaced conforming to UK Electrical standards.
