A fine Victorian oval, brass watering can or hot water jug. Upper brass handle across top, back section of the top hinged to pour in water. Smaller handle at the upper end of the body opposite the spout. Four bands of ribbing at the top and the bottom of the body.
No makers mark. Stamped ''4'' underneath, referring to 4 pints.
