A very unusual George III Drinks Salver made in Edinburgh in 1810 by Patrick Cunningham & Sons.
The Salver stands on four detailed claw and ball feet. The rim rises to a gadrooned border which is interspersed with very unusual double raying shells, flanked by acanthus scrolls. The main body displays a wide band of chasing, executed in the Scottish manner, including scrolls, fruiting vines and floral sprays. This is a most unusual design , with shells in the border, and is in excellent, crisp, condition. A very crisp set of marks are shown on the reverse.
